Medical Laboratory Techniques Program is a vocational school program that provides training of technicians to graduate with associate’s degree. The program aims to train technicians to follow the recent scientific and technological developments, perform the traditional and modern analyses in conformity with universal norms for therapeutic and diagnostic purposes, and performs these with a commitment and in a team oriented manner. Individuals who wish to register into this program are expected to have interest in biology, chemistry, physics, and health sciences, willing to serve as part of a team to perform laboratory work that require precision and caution, and capable to work in closed environments (Laboratory).
Medical Laboratory Techniques program provides the theoretical and practical training of health personnel to operate the devices used in laboratories, clinics, hospitals, and other health care facilities, and to perform diverse assays for health care services.

Have the theoretical and practical knowledge about Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Anatomy, Physiology and Medical Laboratory Techniques. Implement the responsibilities of job, duty, authorization, and the principles of professional ethics. Sufficient to perform all the necessary tasks correctly and completely In the field of medical laboratory.
The students who successfully complete the program are awarded the degree of “Associate of Science” in Medical Laboratory Techniques.
The student who want to enroll in this department, have to complete processes which determined by university’s academic and judicial statute and have to achieve exams. The student who started his/her education in domestic or abroad, can make application for lateral transfer. Acceptance of students are examine considering each student’s conditions and application’s degree before season starting and evaluate peculiarly. Occupational Profile of Graduates
Graduates make tests and an analysis under supervision of specialists. They work in public hospitals, primary health care centre, private clinics, laboratory and also in departments of the Ministry of Health. There is need to qualified employee in Turkey, therefore graduates can find job easily.
The students studying in this program are required to have a Cumulative Grade Points Average (Cum.GPA) of not less than 2.00/4.00 and have completed all the courses with at least a letter grade of C3/2.00 in the program in order to graduate. The minimum number of ECTS credits required for graduation is 120. It is also mandatory for the students to complete their compulsory internship in a specified duration and quality.
